A major redevelopment of two adjoining properties in Southampton, comprising a former freight office alongside an existing six-bedroom HMO, set within a substantial plot with large front driveways and extensive rear gardens.
The proposals involve the conversion of the former office into six new residential apartments, alongside the enlargement and complete reconfiguration of the adjoining HMO to create an 11-bedroom high-end co-living scheme for professionals. The co-living accommodation incorporates shared amenity space on every floor, while the apartments have been designed as high-quality homes for the local residential market.
Thistle Architecture has been involved throughout the entire project, from initial feasibility and pre-application consultation through to securing full planning permission, Stage 4 technical design and full interior design of both the apartments and co-living accommodation. Our involvement has continued into construction, providing Contract Administration and management of the works through to completion.
The project is currently under construction and is due to complete in December 2026, delivering a comprehensively designed mixed residential development comprising six new apartments and an 11-bedroom professionally focused co-living scheme.
