An ultra-luxury eight-bedroom HMO in Portsmouth, created from an existing dwelling as high-specification accommodation for professional tenants.
The heart of the house is the rear living and dining space, lit by a large flush rooflight with French doors opening outside. Wall lights either side of a sculptural panel, cane and black timber dining chairs and a soft palette make the room read as a home rather than a room let by the week.
HMO Designers, part of Thistle Group, worked as part of a collaborative design and build team on this project rather than as the sole designer.
The scheme is complete and let, and is a good example of the standard of accommodation now coming to the top end of the HMO market.
