A comprehensive reconfiguration and extension of an existing family home in Winchester, designed to completely transform both the internal accommodation and external appearance of the property.
The proposals included a full internal reconfiguration, complete rebuilding of the front elevation, replacement of the roof and a substantial single-storey wraparound extension to the rear. The extension incorporates carefully considered brick detailing alongside high-quality materials and finishes throughout, creating a contemporary addition that complements the character of the existing house.
Thistle Architecture was involved from the initial feasibility stage, developing the design and securing full planning permission before progressing the project through Stage 4 technical design and managing the construction through to completion.
The completed scheme has created a distinctive, high-quality family home, combining a substantially improved internal layout with carefully detailed architecture and a cohesive new external appearance.
